Define a girl gamer....

Someone posted something on Facebook today that kind of offended me...Their status said..."One thing I have noticed about TRUE girl gamers is that none of them play farmville." The reason it offended me is, isn't part of being a girl gamer playing games? Does it matter what games you play?! Do you have to be a hardcore halo player or Gears player to be considered a girl gamer? And if so that isn't fair. I used to play farmville and all the games on Facebook. I don't play them anymore not because it doesn't make me a true gamer, but because I got bored with them. My biggest problem with the term "girl gamer" is I don't feel that it is necessary! Why not just say "gamer"?! Who cares what your gender is? You play games! I think people forget that there are other games that you can play. There are games like D&D, Magic the Gathering, and so many more that aren't console games. To be considered a "girl gamer" do you have to only play console games?! If so I do not want that title. My husband has worked in the gaming industry now for 2 years and I know lots of "girl gamers." They all play tons of games. Not only console games. I don't play that many console games anymore...I guess I am no longer considered a true girl gamer...Oh well! Didn't want that title anyway!

Living with a 2 year old

So life with a 2 year old is so interesting....I have never laughed and had so much fun in all my life. Here is updated list of Makayla's favorite things...

1) MINNIE MOUSE...She has 2 Minnie's that she sleeps with every night. One is wearing a red dress and she calls it Red Minnie and the other one wears a pink dress and she calls it Pink Minnie.
2) Oatmeal...Any flavor...Just as long she has it every morning.
3) Tea parties and cooking pretend cake...She will make you taste it a million times lol.
4) Wow Wow Wubzy...OMG!! Wubzy is another one of her addictions. I don't really understand what kind of animal Wubzy is but he is rather entertaining.
5) Getting her picture taken...She is all about attention lol!
6) Going outside...She will stand at the back door saying Go outside please please please!! lol
7) Playing with a cell phone....She thinks that every one should let her play with their phone...no matter what! lol
8) The color pink...Yes she is the typical little girl! lol
9) Baths...She would sit in the bath tub 24 hours a day if I let her lol
10) Fruit...This is her favorite snack...which I guess is a good thing. It could be chocolate and sugar lol
11) Riding the dogs...lol Our poor dogs put up with sooo much abuse...lol but they are such great sports!

These are just a few things about the most amazing thing that has ever happened to Shane and I! I thank God for her!

Why do people do the things that they do...

I have often asked myself why are people sooo cruel. I am a very emotional person and carry my heart on my sleeve. I take things to heart when people do things that are harmful to me and my family. I am not going to mention names in this blog as it really doesn't matter who has hurt me or my family. This week my family has been dragged through the mud by the most foul individuals to ever walk this planet. This is not a blog to give them credit for hurting me...this is a blog to tell them that we will survive. This is a blog to say that bad things do not keep me down. The past 2 years of my life I have been followed around and hounded. We are over it. Blogs have been posted about my husband which are totally false and futile. I am not going to lie it hurt me really badly. Even worse it devastated my husband...but the TRUE friends we have have stepped up and picked us up from the dirt and dusted us off. My mother told me when I was younger that there is no reason to be upset because God will not give you more than what you can bear. I believe that God will help us through this time. But I also don't want to sound defeated...because a lot of good has came out of the bad...We are finally working HONEST and caring people. I love my family more than anything in this world and I will support my husband till the end of the earth! One of my favorite Bible verses is Joshua 9:1 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." So in closing I would like to say...I am not afraid nor do I care what some stupid trolls post all over the internet...because they can't hurt me or my family!
